Here's my little snowman. He looks happy because it's a nice bright day, but not too sunny! ;-) Main snowman body was made following the tutorial, but I am not nearly as good with smudging and blending as Gloria (Flowerfancy) is. Because even the best-dressed snowman is not going to get to wear Mom and Dad's best clothing, I had to make the accessories look a little more like yard-sale discards. The top hat is a JASC preset shape. I gave it a battered look by using PSP 8 mesh warp to bend the brim and dent the sides a bit. The scarf was done using the paintbrush, then inner beveled and noise distorted with the distortion brush. The tattered and frayed edge was done using the smudge tool set at a low density and very hard - made easier in PSP 8 because you can flatten and rotate those round brushes now! JASC River Rocks tubes for the buttons and the eyes, a little drop shadowing and done! |
